Exploring the Metrotechnics Laboratory at Researcher's Night 2022 - NTUA

On September 30, 2022, the Metrotechnics Laboratory participated in the highly anticipated Researcher's Night 2022 event, organized by NTUA for the ninth consecutive year. It was a joyous occasion as after two years, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, researchers had the opportunity to meet everyone in person.

The Metrotechnics Laboratory saw this as a vital chance to communicate and spread the educational and research work that has been carried out relentlessly by the laboratory's members throughout the years. During the researcher's evening, the laboratory presented its research projects TRiTON and H.M.R.T. The team also shared its LIFELONG LEARNING programs, and leaflets were distributed to participants.

The laboratory's presentation was met with keen interest by both adults and children, and their curiosity and energy was a great motivation for the laboratory's members to continue their work and development. The event was a perfect opportunity for the Metrotechnics Laboratory to engage with the public and highlight the importance of their research, which is aimed at improving road safety management.

During the event, more than 150 young children participated in a fun-filled simulator game for road safety in tunnels, which was developed by the H.M.R.T. project. The children were excited to play the game and displayed a remarkable level of interest and enthusiasm for road safety. For their successful participation, the children received chocolate bars as a token of appreciation.

The Metrotechnics Laboratory is committed to enhancing the safety and efficiency of transportation systems, and the Researcher's Night event was a perfect opportunity to showcase their work to the public. The laboratory's participation in the event was a success, and it highlighted the importance of research and education in the field of transportation engineering. The laboratory's dedication to making transportation safer and more efficient for everyone is commendable, and their participation in the event has left a lasting impact on the attendees.
