Project Management

Project Management Services

Extensive experience and involvement in Project Management, with a focus on Project Risk Management. In addition to the educational activities of its staff, who support the School of Mechanical Engineering and six postgraduate programs at NTUA, the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), and the Hellenic Open University (HOU) in Project Management, as well as numerous Master's theses and Doctoral dissertations, the laboratory is also actively engaged in providing services in the field. Specifically, it supports organizations in areas such as scheduling, project management software, processes, and the organization of Project Management Offices (PMOs). The laboratory's research findings in project management have been published in best-in-class scientific journals in the field, including the International Journal of Project Management, Project Management Journal, International Journal of Managing Projects in Business, and others.

Road Tunnels

Twenty years of experience in the study and research of road tunnels. MetrotechnicsLab expertise covers the road tunnel system both in terms of equipment and the human factor. In collaboration with the Laboratory of Heterogeneous Mixtures & Combustion Systems it has the ability to fully study and analyze the phenomena that arise as a result of a fire in a tunnel, which is the most important risk in such systems. In addition, MetrotechnicsLab frequently participates in full-scale road tunnel safety exercises as an outside observer, has studied the safety and risks of numerous tunnels, and specializes in developing user training sessions for driving in tunnels and appropriate behavior in emergency situations.
