On a crisp December morning, the students of the School of Mechanical Engineering NTUA embarked on a journey to explore the inner workings of the innovative company, Domus. The goal of their visit was to witness firsthand how the company's focus on customer satisfaction is reflected in the creation and production of their products.
As they toured the factory floor, the students gained invaluable knowledge of the production phases and assembly process. They were able to see the importance of quality control in the manufacturing sector and how it is integrated into every aspect of Domus' production process.
The visit also included a trip to the company's testing laboratory where the students observed tests being conducted and were able to fully comprehend the rigorous quality assurance procedures that Domus employs.
The students were privileged to have had the opportunity to learn from and engage with Domus' CEO, Mr. Ioannis Kounelis, and executives Mr. Vlassis Degdeki, Ms. Vassiliki Rodopoulou, Mr. Sofoklis Tsoushidis, and Ms. Despoina Pappa. The executives warmly welcomed them to the company's premises and provided a unique and fascinating tour of the factory, answering many interesting questions from our students.
Overall, it was an incredibly insightful and inspiring experience for the students, who left with a newfound appreciation for the importance of quality management in the manufacturing industry.
