On January 23, 2023, as part of the "Total Quality Management" course of the Athens MBA program, Mr. Pantelis Amoratis gave an informative presentation on management system controls. The presentation, entitled "Approach to Management Systems Audits. Best practices for implementing the standards' requirements in organizations' provided valuable insights into the importance of management system controls in achieving operational excellence.

The presentation highlighted some of the best practices for implementing the requirements of the relevant standards and the importance of using a risk-based approach to management system audits and adopting the widely recognized PDCA cycle for continuous improvement. It also provided valuable insight into the benefits of management system audits in achieving operational excellence and maintaining compliance with relevant standards. Best practices can help organizations improve their overall performance, minimize risks, and maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace.

The Future of Project Management in Greece: PMI Greece and NTUA

The end of 2022 had a pleasant surprise for a friend and colleague from the past and a member of the Metrotechnical Laboratory team, Dimitra Voulgaridou!

Dr. Dimitra Voulgaridou, who prepared her doctoral thesis under the supervision of Prof. Vrassidas Leopoulos, was awarded as "Operations Manager of the Year 2022" at the "Manager of the Year" ceremony organized at the Athens Concert Hall.

As mentioned on the Manager of the Year website, Dr. Dimitra Voulgaridou is currently an experienced professional in the field of financial services and for the last few years has been leading the Operations department of BMW Financial Services. With a clear focus on people, he managed to build a high-performing team based on trust and transparency.
